Around our home

Hi, Just thought I'd show you a few of my favorite things around our home. It's been a fun morning today. I went to a rug hooking class at Woolen Memories. I'll show you what I worked on when I get a little more done. Classes help to keep the creative juices going.

The first picture is our home. We built it about 6 years ago. Still have things to finish but I think thats because I keep changing things. I'll be glad when spring comes and the garden wakes up!

The rest of the pictures are some of my things that I have collected over the years. I've been going to the Brimfield flea market for 25 years. I worked for the Dr. in Brimfield and I started wandering around the fields on my lunch break. I was hooked! We've gone at least once a year since then, sometimes to all three. One year we drove up the back roads of Brimfield to avoid the traffic jam and I stopped at a tag sale. I found this pewter teapot there for $15! Best find I've ever made at a tag sale.

This is a butter churn from an auction in Vermont.

Need to build a fire. It's looking gray and chilly out.

This is a rug that I hooked of our home. It's hanging in the front hall along with one that is a Polly Minick pattern.

Hope you have a great week-end and thanks for stopping by.  Jan

  1. Jan,
Your home is beautiful. I just started a Woolen Memories Rug and I'm having fun hooking it. I love your pewter collection. I have been scouting out pieces myself and it's wonderful. I just went to a hook in today and got so much inspiration. Love the rug of the house!
