HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Happy New Year! Time to take down all the Christmas decorations and get the house back to normal. My resolution for this year is to finish all those projects that I have started. Some of them are getting pretty old. Right now I'm working on a sampler that I started several years ago. It is from Old Sturbridge Village. Just need to finish the border. I want to age it but I'm a little afraid to do that because it must have hundreds of stitches that I would hate to ruin. I'm going to include a few pictures of my pewter, flo blue and

iron stone that is in my dining room. I'm ready to change them out for some Quimper that I collect.
The soup tureen belonged to my great grandmother and my great Aunt. My great grandmother was a lover of auctions and we are lucky to have inherited a lot of her belongings. She saved a lot of her treasures in old wooden barrels that were not opened for many years. It was so exciting to be able to unpack those barrels. She loved crocks with cobalt decorations on them. I have one of those and I love it. Well I guess I'd better get back to stitching. Hoping to go to Maine this week. We love to go to the Wells area. Nice to see the ocean when the crowds are not there. I collect sea glass and its easier to find in the winter. We spent most of last summer there and I have quite a bit of glass but you can never have too much! See you again soon. Jan
