A friend and I are looking forward to the ATHA Region I hookin which will take place next Saturday in Westford Ma. I hear they have great vendors, really good food and lots of projects to see. I'm trying to finish this big rug so I guess that's what I'll take to work on. I'll let you know how it goes and maybe some pictures.

I'M BACK
Hi Back after quite awhile. It's been a busy month and a half. Eye surgery went well. Now back to some of those projects.
The weather here has been great. It is supposed to be in the high 70's next week. Really unusual for New England in March. My perennials are coming up. Hope they don't get hit with a cold snap.
I went to the Country Curtains sale in Sturbridge Ma this morning. Didn't find anything that called my name so I moved on to a few antique shops on my way home. I found a few old sewing notions. Also saw an old duck decoy that I may have to go back for. Brimfield flea market is coming soon. I may wait for that. It's so much fun.
I'm working on a sampler for my granddaughter who will be 17 this month. It's a pattern by Country Stitches. I changed the floss colors and will add her name to it. Got to get going on it!
We are babysitting our youngest grandson Nicholas tomorrow. He is so much fun! Grampie and I need to go food shopping to pick up a few things he likes. He likes to come up and use our walkie talkies and follow grampie around. Here's a few pictures, looks alot like Mom. Has his Dad's dark hair.
Thanks for stopping by. See you soon. Jan

A FEW OF MY FAVORITE THINGS
Hi out there. It's been a busy month for me. I'm having eye surgery (cataracts) and so far so good. Having my other eye done Feb. 29th. Good day I hope. They say I may not have to wear glasses when I'm
done. That would be incredible since I've worn them most of my life.
I'm posting pictures of a few things I have collected and an almost finished project.
I found this carrier in an antique shop in Sturbridge Ma. It's old green paint but looks bluish here. Love it!! Also found the old canning jars and put one of Maggie Bonanomi's pin keeps that I made in one of them.
Picked this pin cushion up at a tag sale in Maine last summer.
Love these tin food molds. I'm always on the look out for more.
I like to collect small books and the old glasses(a box of them) were found in my Grandmothers attic.
This is a hooked mat I made in a class at Woolen Memories. The center of the flowers are coiled strips of wool. Just need to finish the back. Not my most favorite part.
Well I guess that's it for now. The sun is out and it looks great outside but cold. We've had a funny winter. Not much snow. Not that I'm complaining but I wouldn't mind a little.
My youngest Grandson is coming for a visit this afternoon. He's so much fun. Hope you all have a nice afternoon too.
See you soon. Jan
